OMG I swear is was a scam. The phones were always busy or if you did get through you'd be on hold for 4:00 and get disconnected. In the live chat NO ONE was getting through but yet they were selling out items. I bet they ended up in the back of trucks at these discounted prices only to end up on Ebay to line these guy's pockets. I am sure CompUSA, TigerDirect, and all the companies that donated items had their hearts in the right place but hiring these bozos to handle the selling of these items was a huge mistake. What a joke, what a scam.

This new feature from google called searchwiki is sure causing a stir among techies and regular surfers. Some people hate it some people love it. It is basicly a digg style vote/comment system for google search results. Check out what it looks like it might not be available in all countries or areas yet at http://thesearchwiki.com to see some screen shots and video about how it works.

Nice news. I tried both websites and can confirm better results for the first one but I find even more accurate results with the newly launched http://www.yasni.com

Is it true that yasni is “the world’s most popular people search engine”!? Didn't expect it to outmatch the US engines... :-/

Have to admit, it looks kinda boring but the results speak for themselves and I'd really like to see some of their features on other search engines. Try it for yourself.

I suggest HP should develop a 15 inch widescreen led screen also for HP Elite book series. It would also be good if can also play Blue Ray disc and have a 5.1 surround audio.

I like the durability and security features of the 2530p but I really yearn for HP to incorporate the features i mentioned above.thank you.

Comment on Why Choose a Credit Union Over a Bank [Banking] by loqk

In Australia, I am quite happy with my credit union. I changed to a credit union after the banks started charging me for not keeping enough money in my account.

the credit union has most of the facilities of a bank. the only thing I have found to be missing is international bank cheques. I have been able to get bank cheques valid in Australia with no problems the 2 times I have needed a cheque.

I have a visa debit card through my credit union that have been able to use for all but one international purchase.

The one international purchase I needed a cheque for reminded me why I don't like to deal with banks as they charged as much as they could to give me an internationally bankable piece of paper representing my own money.

Banks also like credit unions.

since credit unions are a sort of communal piggy bank and are not really recognised by the international money shifting groups, credit unions need to use the international money shifting groups (banks) to do actual money transfers.

by charging extra fees to less profitable people, the banks encourage their clients to become a single more profitable client under a credit union.

this compilation of lots of accounts with little money into one large account reduces account security needs and hard drive space to a single account with a lot of money.

any profits under the internal lending system of the credit union are fed back to members as interest, but all of the money circulating within the credit union is in one huge account for the bank.

this effectively means the money can be lent twice, once within the credit union, and then by the bank.

of course, if either your credit union folds, or the bank folds, you are going to have trouble.

the credit union makes a whole lot of little investors into one big investor with more clout, and thus gets a better deal with the bank. it also has to pay all of its staff to look after the system, so the end result is that it acts a lot like a bank, but hopefully with lower fees

Qtrax does "suck bad". I think it's the only application that actually offers less functionality than the core (Songbird) it's based off. Two words to describe Qtrax: epic fail.

The only way to truly speed up vista's boot is to remove it. More than a year after having given it a chance (both before and after SP1) to work properly... it still fails to impress. For that which requires windows, XP is still king. For everything else, there's linux ;)
