This app looks like it is going to be a hit. To be able to watch on an iPad is one of the coolest things ever. As a customer and employee of DISH Network, I have been using the DISH Remote Access app for iPad and the 922 SlingLoaded receiver for a while and it is awesome. Unlike the Cablevision app, I can stream when and where I want. I don’t have to be at home just to watch TV. As long as I can get a 3G connection to my iPad, I can stream live TV or my recorded shows anywhere in the world! I am sure there are a lot of excited cablevision users. But there is too much missing from this app!

Well it is great that Time Warner is finally catching up with other companies in the iPad app area, but they still fall short. I am a customer and employee of DISH Network and I have been using the DISH Remote Access app for a while now. It is so much better than the Time Warner app. One major difference is that I can stream any of my recordings or live TV shows from my 922 SlingLoaded receiver. That is more than the 30 or so channels available through TWC’s app. On another note, I am not confined to home just to watch TV. To me, TV Everywhere means that I can watch TV when and where I want without having to be connected to my home network all the time. I can watch TV when and where I want as long as I have a 3G connection. Oh, and if I can’t have my iPad out, I can always stream to my iPhone 4.
