KumYoung (representative Seong-Young Kim, www.kumyoung.com) showed its ‘KLW-80,’ LED working light for ship, at the ‘L&D KOREA 2011 (The 2nd International LED & Display Korea)’ held at New EXCO in Daegu, Korea from September 28 to 30.

KLW-80 reduced power consumption and maintenance cost drastically using LED light. It’s harmless because it doesn’t emit infrared and ultraviolet rays and radiant heat and it protects eyes with harmless visible ray.

In addition, to eliminate wireless noise of ship, it produced with an optimized design and acquired IP 67 thanks to its high waterproof function. It reduced waiting time compared to metal haloid lamp and sodium lamp by fast light-on and can be connected with ship’s generator (12V, 24V) directly without converter.

KumYoung, the no. 1 electronic accompaniment supplier in Korean market, started its LED light business as its new development engine in 2009 and has been focusing special lights such as LED fishing lamp, harbor light, streetlight, security light and so on.

Meanwhile, in L&D KOREA 2011, co-organized by metropolitan councils like Daegu Metropolitan City and Korea LED Association (KLEDA), whole fields utilizing LED will be covered, not only focusing on LED lightings, but as smart lighting which’s derived from different applications adopted in LED lighting, agricultural lighting, medical lighting, lighting for fishing, car lighting, outdoor lighting, and indoor lighting.
