Gigabyte presented ‘S1080 Slate PC’, a Windows 7 based tablet, at the Press Conference held prior to the official opening of ‘Computex 2011′, world’s largest computing show held in Taipei, Taiwan, from May 31 to June 4.

However, S1080 Slate PC which AVING met was somewhat disappointing. Its concept is to provide a portable tablet with the same environment as PC by Docking Station, but they adopted unmatchable wired keyboard.

It also features optical trackpad, which seems lack of touch screen technology, and it’s not easy to install a tablet to Docking Station. Because of connecting joints more than three, users also have to fit it cautiously.

Meanwhile, it features great extension; video output to tablet is available anywhere by RGB port, and Docking Station further provides ODD, speaker, and an alarm function.
