- With 90 companies from 7 countries with 190 booths participated in Hanoi, Vietnam, from May 25 to 28, product exhibitions and export consultations were completed successfully.

Busan Metropolitan City and BEXCO held ‘ENTECH Hanoi 2011′, an overseas special expo designated by MKE (Ministry of Knowledge Economy), in VEFAC, Hanoi, Vietnam from May 25 to 28, in consecutive 3 years from 2009.

ENTECH Hanoi 2011, an overseas expo of ENTECH which used to be held in Busan, was designated as a special overseas expo again this year by MKE, following last year. This year 90 companies from 7 countries with 190 booths and 36 Korean companies with 65 booths participated and product exhibition and local export consultations were successfully completed.

The opening ceremony was held at 9 (local time) on May 25, in VEFAC (Vietnam Exhibition Fair Centre) in Hanoi. Lots of local figures from subsidiary organizations, such as vice minister of Vietnam Ministry of Industry & Trade and vice chairman of Hanoi City People’s Committee participated, in Korea director of Busan Metropolitan City as a leader, CEO of KOGAS (Korea Gas Safety Corporation), and director of BECO (Busan Environmental Corporation) joined.

In the expo, Busan city and BEXCO invited 150 companies, famed local buyers, to have one-on-one customized buyer consultations with Korean exhibitors and achieved 160 million dollars as consultations fee and 20 million dollars as proceeding contracts, cooperated by KBC center, a KOTRA office in Hanoi.

On May 26, KOGAS and ISEA of Vietnam contracted MOU including mutual cooperation relating gas safety management system to support gas safety management system of Vietnam actively.

Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute recorded appx. 20 billion (KRW) of consultations, through remote consultations between 30 Korean companies and 70 local buyers thanks to real-time video conference system installed in VEFAC exhibition hall during the expo.

Besides, many Korean exhibitors achieved various intended goals through the trade consultations. SEON ENTEC is pushing ahead equipping production installations of energy resources with a Vietnamese partner.

ATS Pyron discussed about constructing production base for solar power facilities within Vietnam with local P and E companies.

Aquacell, based in Busan, is going to conclude an MOU with an L company, like providing water treatment installation technology.

It’s known that Korean exhibitors are satisfied with ENTECH Hanoi 2011. A number of companies are expected to keep active mutual relations, like revisiting Vietnam for making contracts or inviting local buyers to Korea.

Recently, Vietnam is emerging as one of POST-BRICs within Asian block, by showing 8% of annual economic growth rate, affluent resources, and potential within energy industry. Vietnam, as both resource-rich and oil-producing country, is facing with serious environmental problems as passing through rapid industrialization and urbanization. As demands for energy are growing rapidly and Vietnam handles energy-related industry development as a national problem to be solved, ENTECH Hanoi 2011 is in the spotlight also in Vietnam.

ENTECH Hanoi 2011, emerging as the only expo in environmental energy in Hanoi, is directly or indirectly sponsored by Vietnamese government and local governments, such as Vietnam Ministry of Industry & Trade and Hanoi City People’s Committee.

ENTECH 2011, the first and biggest integrated expo in environment and energy in Korea, is going to be held in BEXCO, from August 31 to September 3. About 200 exhibitors from all over the world are expected to participate with 500 booths for making it the best place for business of environment and energy industry presenting brand-new technologies and products.
