[Flagship model] Philips to showcase its latest Ambilight flat TV ‘AUREA’

BERLIN, Germany (AVING Special Report on ‘IFA 2007′) — Philips revealed its ‘Aurea TV’ during IFA 2007, which adopted Ambilight technology.

Taking Philips Ambilight technology to the next level, the Aurea comprises ‘Active Frame’, breaking the conventions of television viewing by closely enveloping the picture with an ever changing glow of light that matches the color on the screen, extending the picture with a soft, soothing halo.

The Aurea uses LED lighting to illuminate a full spectrum of colors. The light of each LED is divided in two streams; one directed into the diffuser box towards the front where it emits light toward the back diffuser casting a soft glow of light on the wall for an immersive experience.
